Transforming lives through the love of Jesus
Every day we serve the homeless and those living in poverty in Dothan, Alabama, and throughout the Wiregrass. The needs are great as 1-in-6 people in our community do not know where their next meal is coming from. We help through serving hot meals and providing groceries for families and individuals in need. We do much more to help meet vital needs of those hurting in our community. Through everything we do, we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and nourish spiritual needs through Bible studies and discipleship classes.
25th Anniversary Celebration
Love In Action celebrated our 25th anniversary of ministry with an anniversary and fundraising dinner at Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan on Sept. 30, 2025. It was a wonderful night of celebration. The place was filled as we looked back and praised God for all He has done. We praised God for all He is doing, and we looked ahead with excitement to a vision God has given us for the future of Love In Action. Homeless Ministry
When people are ignored, their self esteem becomes lower and lower until, over time, they believe they have no value and accept that living on the streets is as good as it gets.
Love In Action shows the homeless there is a God in Heaven who loves them and there are people who care about them. When they experience that love, a spark of hope shines in their eyes, and that's the beginning of their new journey back to a productive life with Jesus Christ.

Acts of Compassion
By reaching people with the Gospel through acts of compassion, souls are being saved and lives are being changed through the power of Jesus Christ in Dothan and throughout the Wiregrass.
Through God's provision, we are helping more than 10,000 people each month with food - groceries and hot meals. Our food ministry not only meets vital needs, but also shows people who are hurting that God loves them and has not forgotten them.

School of Discipleship
Students can earn a non-accredited Certificate and Degree in Discipleship from Love In Action International Ministries. It takes a desire to know more about God’s Word, a tremendous love of our Messiah Jesus Christ, and a commitment of time.
These courses are designed to transform a believer into a
Great Commission Christian. Once students complete a course, they will be able
to teach it to others, thereby accomplishing our Lord’s command to make
disciples who make disciples.

Making disciples among the unreached
Jesus gives us His Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. He commands us to "Go and make disciples of all nations." The word nations in the Greek is "ethne" meaning people or ethnic groups.
Therefore, we are to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples at home and around the world.
Love In Action 10/40 Window Ministries Directors Jim and Keitha Lanley are teaching discipleship to believers and training pastors in Philippines, China, Myanmar, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Thailand.
They are also evangelizing, planting churches, and leading humanitarian efforts in those countries.
